Soft Launch

Soft Launch was our first exhibition at The Blue Building. For the first months of 2021, the space operated as viewing gallery. Works by six of the seven Anchor Artists were installed on a casual, rolling basis as we felt out the space and prepared for our exhibition programme to launch in the Spring of 2021.
Soft Launch drew out many of the connections we saw between the Anchor Artists’ work. Their practices are conceptually driven and formally elevated. The works they brought to Soft Launch gently touched on connections to space and place: each exploring a unique relationship to Land or landscape.
